The IGFA has partnered with Make A Difference for our Annual Special Anglers Tournament held at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum in Dania Beach, Florida. The Special Anglers Tournament is an opportunity for physically and neurologically challenged children to enjoy the sport of fishing and make lasting memories. All participants must register with the IGFA before May 6th, 2011 so that we know how many participants to prepare for.

This event is open to special needs children through the age of 18. All children who register may bring TWO guests (one guardian and one sibling/friend) with them but we CANNOT accomodate any more than parties of THREE people total.

This fun-tournament is a catch and release event where each participant receives a prize and certificate. This event is not only fun, it is also FREE! Everyone goes home with lots of goodies and each participant gets to take home their very own rod and reel, a tackle box, a goodie bag, a T-shirt and much more. A snack for breakfast and a pizza lunch is also provided. Not only do the children enjoy fishing, but they also paint, fish in IGFA’s simulated Catch Gallery and more.

If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities or volunteering at the event, please contact Veronica at (954) 924-4309 or vwoods@igfa.org.
