Online bidding has now ended for the 28th annual IGFA Auction & Banquet - thank you for your bids and support! You can still preview all of the auction items in advance of Friday evening here.

Your passion for great fishing is the backdrop for the 28th annual IGFA International Auction & Banquet. With the grandeur of the world’s biggest catches overhead and the legacy of our sport on all sides, this year’s event will be hosted in the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum in Dania Beach, Florida, USA on January 27th, 2012 at 6 pm.

Much like fishing itself, technology will be enhancing the way we celebrate the evening. First, the auction began online in advance of the event. The night of the Banquet, guests will bid in the silent auction via private handheld devices.  Finally, the prestigious Conservation Awards, recognizing those who have made outstanding contributions to the conservation of sport fish, will be accompanied by a multi-media production of highlights.

“The digital age is revolutionizing what we know about fisheries and how we pursue our favorite species,” says IGFA President Rob Kramer. “We are embracing that in our organization, so why not in our events, too?”

But as always, the live auction will boast the sports’ most desirable items. With trips, boats, tackle and art galore, those who enjoy an exciting bid exchange will not be disappointed. Art lovers take note: commemorating the event’s move to the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum, artist Kent Ullberg has donated a replica of his brilliant Sword Dance sculpture that adorns the building’s front entrance as this year’s featured artwork.

Tickets are $225 per person, and corporate packages are still available. To reserve your seats or learn more about sponsorship opportunities, including ads and signage, please contact John Holley at 954-924-4240 or email jholley@igfa.org.
