Birthdays are to celebrate the coming of a new age and another year to come. At IGFA, a birthday party is that and more!
CATCH THE FUN AT THE IGFA FISHING HALL OF FAME & MUSEUM
While celebrating a birthday at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum, children will either learn the safety of fishing and practice catch and release while trying to catch a fish themselves; or they will learn the importance of wetlands, especially the Everglades, and while walking through the wetlands they will identify birds, reptiles, fish, insects and plants. Parties teach children conservation either through fishing or environmental biology. They will also get hooked on our interactive galleries, fishing simulators, and marina.

Parties are on Saturdays and Sundays** 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. in the Learning Center. Parties are available for children ages 3- 13. The cost for the party is $400, and includes everything for up to 15 guests (birthday child, siblings, and parents are complimentary and are not included in the first 15 paid guests). The cost for each additional party guest, after the initial number of 15 guests, is $15 each . Cost for each additional adult who is not participating in birthday party activities is $5 each. The maximum number of guests (both children and adults) for one party is 30 (not including the birthday child and immediate family members). Guests include adults and children over 3 years of age.
*Fishing parties are only available for children turning 7 - 13 years of age.

**Only 3 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. time slot available on Sundays
For all parties, a non-refundable $150 deposit is required when reservations are made. Reservations must be made at least 3 weeks prior to party date.

FISHING PARTY* ACTIVITIES:
Show and Tell -- Check out the cool fossils and biological specimens during your lunch
Fishing 101-- Children learn about basic fishing instruction, including proper safety techniques, before receiving rods and reels to fish with. Children also learn how to bait a hook.
Hands-on Fishing -- Children head out front to fish in the IGFA's front ponds to try their luck at catching bass, sunfish, catfish, and cichlids!
Marshmallow Mouth -- Children first create their own edible sea urchin using marshmallows and pretzels then become a parrotfish and have to try to eat the marshmallow, around the 'spiny' pretzels without using their hands
Other Activities include the Touch Tank, Fish Printing and Museum Galleries!

WETLANDS PARTY ACTIVITIES:
Show and Tell -- Check out the cool fossils and biological specimens during your lunch
Wetlands Walk -- Explore the IGFA Wetlands preserve while viewing fish, turtles, lizards, birds, native Florida plants, and even alligators!
Simulator Fishing -- Head to the Catch Gallery to try all five virtual fishing simulators
Marshmallow Mouth -- Children first create their own edible sea urchin using marshmallows and pretzels then become a parrotfish and have to try to eat the marshmallow, around the 'spiny' pretzels without using their hands
