The list of companies he has worked with includes Penn Reels, Mercury Outboards, Simrad Electronics, Offshore Angler, AFTCO, Lowrance Electronics, SeaCraft, Mold Craft, Hell's Bay Boatworks, Boone Tackle, Mako Marine, Hearst Magazines, Mares Yachts, Ocean Yachts, Pursuit Fishing Boats and Calusa Cast Nets.

He has also served as a senior editor for Salt Water Sportsman, and as electronics editor for Marlin magazine. When not writing or consulting, Anderson captains the 58-foot Merritt yacht, Brier Patch.
