The IGFA School of Sport Fishing is co-founded By Anthony " Tony " DiGiulian and his company, Saltwater Professional Consulting. Along with David Matagiese, Jeff Mackin, and the International Game Fish Association, Mr. DiGiulian has spent countless hours creating and organizing this new educational opportunity.

Capt. Tony has spent over twenty five years in the sport fishing industry. He started his career in 1979, on his aunt and uncle's charter boat, out of Shinnecock Inlet, Long Island N.Y. As a professional captain and first mate, he has led anglers to over 5000 billfish captures world wide, including several ultra light world records and tournament victories.

A published writer on various subjects, Tony is a recognized expert on all types of salt water fishing. He has worked for most of the top sport fishing operations in the world and has learned his craft from some of the most famous captains of our generation. This list includes legendary Captains Skip Smith, Eddie Herbert, Rick Defeo, Dan Timmons and Australian Laurie Wright.

Tony has always been deeply committed to the sport fishing industry and above all, has a deep desire to help preserve our environment. He is an original member of the South East Swordfish Club, committee member of the Big Game Room at the Miami International Boat Show, committee member of the Jeb Bush Classic, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Sailfish Tournament and an active member of the Billfish Foundation. He is a repeat speaker at Lady's Let's Go Fishing seminars and has been interviewed for countless articles on fishing related subjects by all the major fishing magazines.

The creation of the IGFA School of Sport Fishing is the culmination of a life long goal for Capt. Tony and follows in a family tradition of educators, coaches and innovators. His vision for the future is to make this school the premier source for fishing and marine related education.
