Volunteer Position Descriptions
Administrative Assistant
To provide clerical and administrative support for IGFA international headquarters staff. Work under the direction of staff on tournaments, world records, International Committee representatives, special events, and more.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Prepare mail and parcels for shipment, data entry, stuff envelopes, adhere address labels, alphabetize and file/archive documents, make photocopies, staple promotional flyers for distribution, collate and organize projects, type general correspondence etc.
- Bind manuals and assemble materials into folders
- Accurate typing skills and computer experience necessary. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software programs helpful. Computer skills are needed to enter data, scan images, process emails, perform internet searches, etc.
- Work assignments are flexible and will performed with different staff members
- Although not a requirement, language skills are a huge benefit for IGFA – all are welcome. Help to translate and/or create international documents in support of our many programs
- This position is best suited to individuals with special care and attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Activities take place on the 3rd floor of the Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum. Hours of operation for administrative staff are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
