The Jr. Angler/Education Outreach Program is an excellent way to bring IGFA to your school. Educational Programs are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each program requires a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 30 students per class and two - four programs a day Each program is 1 hour long, larger groups may be accommodated with multiple visits. Each program meets the requirements for Florida's Sunshine State Standards (SSS):

Junior Angler Program
The youth is the future of the IGFA and game fishing. Education and outreach programs ensure the youth will become stewards of the environment.
Lab Programs

IGFA Fishing Camps
IGFA offers spring and summer week-long camp adventures for children ages 8 - 13. Campers spend time in the museum where they learn about fishing techniques, conservation, marine biology, tying flies & jigs, and participate in simulated fishing tournaments.(more) |

Touch Tank
The Touch Tank will introduce students to the three main habitats off the coast
of South Florida. Models depicting mangroves, seagrasses and coral reefs are
used to teach the importance of these fragile ecostystems and that organisms
depend on them for protection and as food sources. |

Enviroscape
With the Enviroscape, students become members of a coastal community where they learn how pollution affects the watershed. Students learn how the aquifer of South Florida cleans their drinking water and what they do everyday effects our habitat through learning about their watershed. (Gr 3-12: This is a half hour lab to be combined with another half hour lab) |

Adaptations
In the Adaptations lab, students will observe and identify different physical adaptations ( scales, mouths, body shapes and fin shapes) that fish use to help them successfully survive in their aquatic environment. They will gain an understanding of how physical structure(s) influences and determines function. |

Fish Play
The Fish Play is a great way to teach young children the importance of various
habitats and how the shape of the fish determines the type of environment it can
live in. Select students wear costumes and have scripts just like in a real
play! (Gr K-3: This is a half hour lab to be combined with another half hour
