Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show

The Junior Angler/Education Department participated in the Kid's Fishing Clinic portion of the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show on October 30th & 31st. Many different organizations worked together to educate approximately 400 children the importance of conservation through sport fishing and boating. IGFA, along with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, taught our future anglers to be stewards of the environment through casting contests, a touch tank and ethical angling.  For two days there was a constant flow of children eager to learn the critical aspects of fishing.  The boat show management is quoted saying "I was thrilled to have the IGFA as an important part in our Kids' Clinics."

Broward County Fair

The Junior Angler/Education Department will be participating with the Broward County Fair at Mirror Lake Elementary School to teach approximately 400 students the basics of angling.  This special school program is in conjunction with the Broward County Fair which will be held November 18-28th, in which IGFA will also have a presence.
