TITLE:  Development Coordinator  
REPORTS TO:  Development Manager 
HOURS:  9am – 5pm (some nights and weekends required) 
Core Job Description
International conservation organization focusing on game fish conservation and education is seeking a dynamic individual for their fundraising programs. The Development Coordinator will assist the Development team in a range of fundraising activities including: donor cultivation, special events and fundraising appeals. 
Minimum Qualifications 
   Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, marketing  or related field preferred.  
   One to three years of experience in nonprofit organizations   
   Well developed quantitative, written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. 
   Ability to take initiative/work independently
   Proficiency with MS Office and database management (experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar preferred). 
   Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary. 
   Strong interest in IGFA mission and knowledge of fishing and aquatic environments preferred.

Core Job Description

The International Game Fish Association, the most widely recognized international authority on fishing, is looking for an energetic and creative team-player to serve as Librarian / Curator Successful candidate will be responsible for the following essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage, organize, maintain and curate the IGFA’s collections and exhibits.  Responsible for exhibit design, development and maintenance.
  • Manage overall administration and operation of the E.K. Harry Library of Fishes, including development and preservation of collection, provision of high-quality information services, bibliographic integrity of Library catalog and related databases.
  • Help customers locate information and use it proficiently for personal and professional objectives.
  • Responsible for acquiring and preparing materials that will be used within the library and exhibits.
  • Responsible for negotiation of contracts for services, materials, and equipment for the library.
  • Assists with budget development, public-relations and fundraising related to the library and its exhibits.
  • Responsible for acquiring and arranging IGFA’s information resources.
  • Responsible for the development and indexing of databases as well as instructing patrons how to efficiently search through and locate needed reference materials.
  • Provide content for IGFA’s online and printed publications.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science, Communications or related field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, database systems and social media platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Knowledge and passion of fishing and aquatic environments.

TITLE:  Part Time Education Instructor - Camp Counselor
HOURS:  8am – 5pm
Core Job Description

This position is responsible for teaching hands-on fishing and educational programs to children and young adults. Fishing programs are designed to teach anglers principles of ethical angling. Educational programs are designed to teach environmental conservation and ethical angling through science. Programs may take place at IGFA headquarters, at parks, or on fishing boats through labs, camps, and other events.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Have the ability and enjoy working with children and young anglers
  • Effectively maintain a safe and controlled environment with groups of children and young adults
  • Instruct student programs to provide educational opportunities for children and adults as they relate to game fish and their habitats
  • Maintain educational equipment to facilitate educational activities, as directed by the supervisor; and assist in managing and supervising volunteers as directed.
  • Experience fishing for freshwater and saltwater species
  • Knowledge of and the ability to teach various types of fishing rods, reels, knots and baits
  • Ability to discuss proper catch and release techniques and local fishing regulations with young anglers and explain why they are important for maintaining fisheries
  • Knowledge of various types of habitats and their inhabitants and have the ability to discuss the importance of healthy aquatic habitats for fisheries
  • Ability to travel with groups for daily fishing trips during summer months
  • Perform other duties as necessary


  • High School Graduate
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to work throughout the summer break as well as occasional weekends
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English
  • Either have or be working on a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a sector of environmental science
  • Must be a strong swimmer and be CPR certified (we can provide certification if needed)
