Vicente Inducted in Big Game Room HOF

During his early fishing days with friends in San Juan in the late 1960's, Ralph "Agie" Vicente started a boating and sports fishing career that has been truly remarkable, with unconditional support to conservation.

In the 1980s, at a time when conservation began to emerge as a serious way of fishing among a great audience, Vicente was there to encourage a course of action, a serious commitment to release for life.

A Trustee of the IGFA since 2010, Vicente was also one of the founding leaders of The Billfish Foundation in 1986, a group that has remained active and recently celebrated their 25th Anniversary.

Conservation of the species became his way of life, his purpose and his vision.  With his charismatic synergy and enthusiasm he has lead an entire generation, and serves an an example to younger anglers.

For his time, energy and commitment to conversation efforts of blue marlin and other species, the Big Game Room at the Miami International Boat Show truly recognizes Ralph "Agie" Vicente as an international leader in conservation and sports fishing.
